Promoting the Event
We will require some information (at least 400 words) to help us promote the talk. This usually includes:
- Three short questions to grab peoples attention, such as "Would you like to live the life of your dreams?"
- An outline of the talk - with a focus on what the audience would gain
- An 'About the Speaker' section
- Some Testimonials
- A good photo (at least 200 pixels high).
We also ask speakers to promote the event to their own network.
Our meetings attract a wide range of people including students, professionals and pensioners. Some of our members have attended Tony Robbins and other personal development events, but many have not.
In 2014 the attendance at our regular meetings ranged from 22 to 53 people, an average of about 34. Our usual venue holds about 45 people though we have managed to accommodate over 60!

There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.
Promoting Your Services
We ask speakers to refrain from promoting their courses, products and services until the final 5-10 minutes of their talk.
We sometimes list events by previous speakers in our Calendar. We give priority to recent speakers, free events and special offers (for Yes Group members) that are easily reachable from Oxford.
We provide a table for the display of promotional materials
Oxford Basket Brigade
We ask speakers to support the Oxford Basket Brigade by donating a book, DVD, seat on a course etc. which we could auction or sell to raise funds fot this event.
The Yes Group does not normally pay expenses, though we may agree to cover the costs of materials (such as arrows!) consumed in the event.
If you are interested in speaking then please start by completing this form.
Jason Purvor who is the Chair of Oxford Yes Group is responsible for booking speakers.
If your talk looks suitable then he will contact you to discuss your proposal.
